Paranormal Files: Silent Willow Beta Test

When the husband of a paranormal investigator goes missing, it’s up to her and her team to track him down. Can they save him from the forces of evil or is he the evil they’ve been fighting?

That’s right, Big Fish Games sent me two games to beta test in one week. If this keeps up, my blog might be nothing but recaps and reviews of beta test. Anyway, this game is Supernatural meets Angel. Supernatural because it’s normal people hunting monsters. Angel because, instead of traveling the road, they own a business for paranormal investigation. Since I am a sucker for the supernatural as much as I am a good mystery, you can bet that this game definitely caught my eye. Though, as I point out in the first paragraph, we don’t know whether Rick is good or evil and the game ends on a cliffhanger.

The game play is your typical hidden object. You explore various locations and collect items that you use later. Some of these items require you to take part in a hidden object scene just to collect one. There are also some items that you have to assemble together, which the game shows by putting a circle with a cross inside next to it. You also have to play mini games to advance throughout the story, which you can skip if you find the mini game too hard. If you’re stuck, use a hint.

This game is addictive and intriguing. I not only want to buy the full version when it comes out but play other games in the series. Have you beta tested this game yet? If so, what do you think? If you would like to request a review, then feel free to leave it in the comments, email me, or send me a friend request on Discord to suburbantimewaster#8733.
